Royalty Barra Hotel Rio de Janeiro

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The view from our room on the 12th floor was amazing. We could see the clean ocean and the Tijuca Islands from our window. The location of the hotel was also a big plus. It was right near the beach in the more recently developed Barra da Tijuca area. There were also many shopping malls close by, making it convenient for us to do some shopping. The breakfast provided by the hotel was delicious and had a wide variety of options. The staff was friendly and helpful, ensuring that we had a pleasant stay.

There was nothing we didn't like.

Poor customer service, with rude and unhelpful front desk staff. Basic rooms and outdated amenities.

The location of the hotel was incredible, just steps away from the beach and surrounded by great restaurants. We loved being able to walk right out the door and have the beach at our fingertips. The room had a breathtaking view of the ocean, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of tasty options.

The front desk staff were less than helpful when it came to arranging transportation for us.

The 24-hour reception was very convenient.

I couldn't have asked for a better location. The hotel was just a short walk away from the magnificent beach, with fine views right from my room. At night, all the bustling bars and restaurants were just around the corner, creating a lively atmosphere. Although there were some noise and crowds, it added to the charm of the area. The hotel rooms on higher floors provided amazing views, making the experience even better. Despite a few hiccups like the friendly concierge service and subpar breakfast, this hotel has great potential for improvement. One downside was the unexpected charge for ice, which seemed quite excessive. the Wi-Fi was not free, with high hourly and daily rates. Nevertheless, the hotel provided beach towels, sunshades, and folding chairs at no additional cost. I had a pleasant stay at Royalty Barra and would recommend it to others.
